Product Description

Environmentally Hardened Design

PLANET’s Modbus TCP Industrial 8-Port Gigabit 802.3at PoE+ Switch, IGS-10020HPT, is equipped with rugged IP30 metal case for stable operation in heavy Industrial demanding environments. The Modbus TCP switch supports IEEE 1588v2 Transparency, ERPS Ring, DIDO and static Layer 3 routing. With IP30 industrial case protection, the IGS-10020HPT provides a high level of immunity against electromagnetic interference and heavy electrical surges which are usually found on plant floors or in curbside traffic control cabinets. Being able to operate under wide temperature range from -40 to 75°C, the IGS-10020HPT can be placed in almost any difficult environment. The IGS-10020HPT also allows either DIN rail or wall mounting for efficient use of cabinet space.

Quick Recovery for Surveillance System

The IGS-10020HPT showcases a strong ability to self-recover, which halts interruptions. This unit also features redundant  advanced Redundant Ring technology, a redundant power supply system, and Spanning Tree Protocol (802.1w RSTP). This implements the technology into the customer’s industrial automation network to increase reliability and uptime in demanding environments. The IGS-10020HPT protects industry connectivity with a fast switching recovery capability that helps to implement fault tolerant ring and mesh networks. The unit recovers from interruption under 50ms and works to bring the network back to stable operation.

High Power PoE for Security and Public Service Applications

The IGS-10020HPT offers 8 10/100/1000Mbps ports that are compatible with IEEE 802.3af and High Power IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet standards. This unit combines up to 30 Watts of power and data for each port through a single Cat.5E / 6 Ethernet cable. With a 240 Watt PoE budget, the IGS-10020HPT meets the need of high power network powered devices.

‘Alive Checking’ for Powered Devices

The IGS-10020HPT can be simply configured to monitor the real-time status of powered devices through a ping action. If powered devices display no response, the IGS-10020HPT recycles the PoE port power and brings the powered device back to life. The unit continues to operate efficiently by ensuring that the PoE port resets the PD power. This lessens the management load for administrators and makes management easier than ever.

Energy Efficient

The IGS-10020HPT manages the power supply and offers high power simultaneously. The built-in “PoE schedule”  gives administrators the ability to enable or disable Power over Ethernet for each PoE port during specified times. This makes the unit an efficient switch to allow SMB or Enterprises to save time and money.

Digital Input and Digital Output for External Alarm

The IGS-10020HPT supports Digital Input, and Digital Output, and allows users to use the Digital Input to manage and detect the status of external devices. This sends an event alarm to administrators. The Digital Output can also be utilized to alarm administrators of power failure or if a port link is down or up.

Enhanced Layer 2 Features

The IGS-10020HPT can be programmed for the following advanced switch management functions: Port link aggregation, Q-in-Q VLAN, private VLAN, Rapid Spanning Tree protocol, Layer 2 to Layer 4 QoS, bandwidth control and IGMP Snooping. The unit offers 802.1Q Tagged VLAN, where VLAN groups permitted will be a maximum of 255. Through the aggregation of supporting ports, the IGS-10020HPT allows for the operation of a high-speed trunk that combines many ports. This allows for a maximum of 5 trunking groups of 8 ports. The unit also supports fail over.

Stable Management

The IGS-10020HPT Managed Ethernet Switch features console, WEB and SNMP management interfaces. The IGS-10020HPT features a built-in web management interface and allows for text-based management through Telnet and the console port. In addition, the unit provides for secure remote management through standard-based management software by supporting the connection of SNMPv3.

Enhanced Security

The IGS-10020HPT showcases Layer 2 to Layer 4 Access Control List (ACL) to ensure for even better security. The unit halts network access and denies packets based on the packet’s source, IP address, TCP/UDP port, or according to defined network applications. The  unit’s security features include 802.1x Port-Based and MAC-Based authentication. The unit’s private VLAN function allows for the halting of communication between edge ports, which ensures user privacy.

Versatile Extension Solution

The unit features two mini-GBIC slots that support Dual-Speed, 100Base-FX and 1000Base-SX/LX SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) fiber-optic modules. This allows users to select the appropriate SFP transceiver depending on the transmission distance and speed. The distance can be extended with ease from 550 meters (Multi-Mode fiber) up to above 10/50/70/120 kilometers (Single-Mode fiber or WDM fiber).

Ideal Solution for Outdoor IP PoE Camera and NVR System

The IGS-10020HPT provides 8 10/100/1000Mbps 802.3at PoE ports that provides enough PoE power for 8 PoE IP cameras simultaneously. The unit’s 2-Port 100/1000Base-X SFP interfaces allow for the connection to the core fiber switch. This allows for streaming video to be sent directly to NVR and monitoring centers. The IGS-10020HPT manages recorded video files from the IP cameras and saves them in the NVR systems. In addition, the NVR systems controls and manages in the local LAN and remotely through the Internet.
