Product Description

The VDR-300NU 802.11n Wireless VDSL2 Router from Planet Technology is a quality multi-functioning home gateway that has been crafted to provide high-speed VDSL2 broadband network for applications that feature triple play technology. The unit features backwards compatibility with the ADSL2+ fixed line over current existing phone wires. The VDR-300NU has been crafted with five core networking technologies in a single unit: VDSL2 (Very High Speed Digital Subscriber Line 2), ADSL2+, 3G, IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n dual band wireless connectivity and IPv6/IPv4 dual stack. The VDR-300NU unit offers users in offices and residential locations the ideal choice for sharing a high-speed VDSL2 broadband connection.

Quality Ethernet over VDSL2 Performance

The VDR-300NU features support for quality VDSL2 technology and offers very high performance access to the Internet. The unit provides a maximum of 100Mbps for both downstream and upstream data transmission. The unit showcases VDSL, which provides the fastest data transmission speed over existing copper telephone lines without requiring additional rewiring. The unit showcases support for the ITU-T G.993.5 Vectoring technology and operates with DSLAMs that feature vectoring. This eliminates crosstalk interference and ensures that maximum line bandwidth across the existing copper infrastructure is even better.

High-Demand Service Connectivity for ISP / Triple Play Devices

The VDR-300NU provides excellent bandwidth to meet the demand of the triple play devices for home entertainment and communication. With the capability of 100/100Mbps symmetric data transmission, the VDR-300NU has the ability to allow for various multi-media services to operate efficiently on local Internet including VOD (Video on Demand), Voice over IP, Video phone, IPTV, Internet caching server, distance education, etc.

ADSL2+ Fallback

The VDR-300NU supports transmission rates at a maximum of 24Mbps downstream and 3.5Mbps upstream with ADSL2+ technology. This is ideal for Internet Service Providers that offer ADSL broadband service. The VDR-300NU supports PPPoA (RFC 2364 – PPP over ATM Adaptation Layer 5), RFC 2684 encapsulation over ATM (bridged or routed), PPP over Ethernet (RFC 2516), and IP over ATM (IPoA, RFC 1483). This ensures that the unit operates to establish a connection with the ISP and can be switched to VDSL2 after the ISP network upgrade.

3G WAN Backup Connections

The VDR-300NU offers an interface for 3G USB dongle and offers users a budget friendly way to ensure that the unit remains online stably with the 3G / xDSL WAN backup Internet access. The 3G USB feature allows the unit to activate Internet connection and the redundant WAN interface at any time to ensure stable connection.

Dual Band Quality Speed 802.11n Wireless Connection

The VDR-300NU applies 2T2R MIMO antenna technology and offers Router and Bridge modes for network applications. The unit features a built-in 2.4GHz IEEE 802.11b/g/n or 5GHz 802.11a/n wireless network capability and ensures that any computer and wireless network device can connect without even more cabling. The unit features a 802.11n wireless capability that allows the data transmission rate to be as high as 300Mbps. Radio coverage can be increased to provide high speed wireless connection in homes or offices.

IPv6/IPv4 Dual Stack Feature

With support for both IPv4 and IPv6 protocols, the VDR-300NU operates with the standard IPv4 network structure and supports the new IPv6 network structure in the future. Network devices continue to increase along with the requirement for greater addressing and security. The VDR-300NU is an best choice for Internet Service Providers to craft cutting edge IPv6 FTTx edge service.

Enhanced Remote Management

The VDR-300NU supports the TR-069(WAN Management Protocol) standard and permits an Auto-Configuration Server (ACS) that can perform auto-configuration, provision, collection, and diagnostics to the VDR-300NU remotely.

Secure Wireless Access Control

The VDR-300NU supports encryptions including WEP, WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK. In addition, the VDR-300NU supports WPS configuration with PBC/PIN type that allows users to connect simply to a secured wireless network.

Superior Management Functions

The VDR-300NU offers a dependable user-friendly management interface that can be managed efficiently through standard web browsers. The VDR-300NU also offers dependable management functions including standard functions including DHCP server, virtual server, DMZ, QoS, and UPnP. In addition, the unit offers complete firewall features such as Network Address Translation (NAT), IP/Port/MAC Filtering and Content Filtering. In addition, the VDR-300NU operates as an Internet firewall to prevent unauthorized access.
